Introduction to College of Management

The College of Management at Takming University consists of five departments and one post-graduate program.  These include: the Department of International Trade, the Department of Business Administration (including the Fashion Management Program and the Industrial Technology and Commercial Management Special Program, which is exclusively for students with special achievements), the Department of Marketing Management (including the International Exhibition and Leisure Tourism Program), the Department of Distribution Management (including the Franchise Business and Management Program), and the Department of Applied Foreign Languages (including the Japanese Language Program). In addition, there is  the In-service Master Program of Marketing Management.

The college is committed to promoting management education, with "teaching innovation" as its main focus, with "theme-teaching" and "interdisciplinary learning" as its two major teaching cores. Through interactive learning and strengthening implementation and production, students are able to understand the processes in  industry and rapidly obtain key knowledge. Furthermore, students adopt interdisciplinary thinking through competitions to solve dilemmas in industry, to participate in the sustainable society, and to enhance employment competitiveness.

The College of Management at our university keeps pace with trends, establishing the Department of Marketing Management and the Department of Distribution Management ahead of other universities in the country. In the past few years, we planned the internalization and transformation of the Department of International Trade, the industrial application and upgrading of the Department of Business Administration, and expanded to encompass the high-added value fashion industry to respond to manpower demands in social marketing, cold chain logistics, trade and commerce, and fashion management within the industry. In terms of curriculum design, six credit programs from these disciplinary areas are offered to develop students’ interdisciplinary learning ability. Each department progresses separately and advances in unison to provide the most complete and in-depth training for our students.

In addition, the college specifically values the cultivation of interdisciplinary talents. We offer six interdisciplinary credit programs to encourage students to implement interdisciplinary learning, including “social media management and marketing”, “cold chain international distribution”, “fashion industry business and management”, “trade and commerce”, “consumer finance product marketing”, and “international exhibition”.
